  • Vercelli Laboratory

    The Vercelli laboratory at the University of Arizona investigates the impact of environmental, genetic and developmental factors on the pathogenesis of allergic diseases, focusing on the mechanisms underlying protection from asthma and allergies. Work in animal and human models shows that microbial products from traditional dairy farms and lysates of airway bacteria confer strong protection through innate immune mechanisms.
