About

My research focuses on justice-centered, transdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to design. Current team projects with funding from the National Science Foundation include a community science platform redesign and equity-centered design education initiatives. I am the author of Beyond the Makerspace: Making and Relational Rhetorics (University of Michigan Press, 2021) and editor of the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing (ATTW) book series with Routledge. In addition to serving as core faculty in the College of Information Science, I am a faculty member in the University of Arizona's graduate interdisciplinary programs in Applied Intercultural Arts Research and in Social, Cultural and Critical Theory.
