For more than 20 years, Byler Thomas has taught health at various adult learning levels and through multiple formats. She has instructed many university classes and participated in several integrative health research studies. Byler Thomas has also been a massage therapist in clinical practice for 25 years and has served on the Massage Therapy Foundation MTF) Practitioner and Student Case Report Contests, MTF Conference Science Review Committee, and is a peer reviewer for two Manual Science Journals. She conducted dissertation research examining the effect of partner-delivered chair massage on perinatal mood, anxiety, and pain.
