Professor Strittmatter's recent activities include studies of accretion on to super-massive black holes in AGNs working in collaboration with with Wolfgang Duschl and using viscosity prescriptions derived from hydrodynamic considerations. He also participated in the recent mm-VLBI studies of SgrA*. He is also involved in large telescope projects including the LBT, LSST and GMT and in coordinating work at the Steward Observatory Mirror Lab.He recently chaired a Faculty Senate Committee on reconfiguring the undergraduate program at the University of Arizona.Show Less
