Dr. Gordon was born and raised in Utah, and after working as a registered nurse for many years including in both high-acuity hospital settings and for the Utah Department of Health, she decided to further her education and applied to medical school. Dr. Gordon graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2009, and afterward completed a surgery internshiand a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Arizona. Dr. Gordon stayed on with the University of Arizona as an attending physician for more than 5 years, after which, she transitioned to private practice anesthesiology for a few years. Dr. Gordon returned to again further her post-graduate education, completing a Fellowshiin interventional pain management with the University of Arizona. After graduating from the fellowship, Dr. Gordon worked in private practice interventional pain. When an opportunity presented to return to the University of Arizona/Banner in pain management, and having always enjoyed the teaching and other challenging aspects of academic medicine, Dr. Gordon decided to return to the University of Arizona/Banner. Dr. Gordon is currently an assistant professor at the University of Arizona in the department of anesthesiology in interventional pain management.
