The analyses of redshift surveys of galaxies have been the main emphasis of Christopher Willmer's research, using statistics such as the luminosity and two-point correlation functions. More recent research has combined optical and far-infrared samples to characterize galaxy properties and to measure how these evolve with time. He is also involved in the characterization of the JWST Near Infrared Camera NIRCam) detectors and development of the NIRCam reduction pipeline.
