Laura Howard is Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Philosophy department at the University of Arizona. She received her B.A. and M.A. in philosophy from the University of Missouri St. Louis and her Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Arizona. Howard’s area of specialty is in normative and applied ethics, and she teaches courses covering topics in medical ethics, regulation and ethics for healthcare professionals, disability ethics and reproductive rights. Her current scholarshiinterests involve moral distress in healthcare, particularly nursing.
