Limited Term Adjunct Instructor, Teaching/Learning and Sociocultural Studies
Dr. Stormes is an adjunct faculty member for the Teach Arizona master’s degree teacher preparation program in the department of Teaching, Learning and Sociocultural Studies at The University of Arizona. After more than 28 years in a suburban Philadelphia public school district, she retired as Director of Educational Services. As such, Dr. Stormes was responsible for the entire K-12 curriculum, instruction, assessment and technology, as well as strategic planning, and teacher inservice programs. As a classroom teacher, she was recognized for outstanding practice by her district. As an administrator, her language arts/reading program was recognized by The National Council of Teachers of English as the site of a model curricular and instructional program as well as by the Pennsylvania Writing Project sited at The University of Pennsylvania, with which she worked closely to developrograms. She has published extensively and presented workshops on 3 continents. Dr. Stormes received her Ph.D. from New York University, PA Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from The University of Pennsylvania, master’s degree from Arcadia University, and a bachelor’s degree from Albright College.
