Tirdad T. Zangeneh is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program and has a dedicated clinic for the care of immunocompromised patients. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowshiat the University of Miami UM) He was Chief Resident and faculty at the University of Miami after completing his residency. His research at the University of Miami focused on the effects of suppressive antiretroviral therapy and pre-existing reverse transcriptase inhibitor resistance. Prior to his medical training, he completed his graduate studies at California State University where he completed a thesis project in HIV prevention and harm reduction. He then worked as a policy analyst for the City of Los Angeles, AIDS Coordinator office where he was involved in community based HIV prevention and treatment programs. His current interest is the area of infectious diseases among solid organ transplant recepients and coccdioidomycosis.
