Summary: Rob Owen is results driven, strategic thinker, and hands-on executive in global business, IT, education, and leadership. He has significant experience in M&A, integration, and board participation. He is fully committed to results and in the development of new leaders. Education: Mr. Owen is full time faculty at the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona as well as Professor of Operations Management at Thunderbird School of Global Management. Additionally he is instructor of Being a Leader and the Effective Exercise of Leadership. Business Experience: Mr. Owen has over 35 years experience, including executive leadership as CIO or equivalent in high-technology and pharmaceutical manufacturing for Microchip Technology, Burr-Brown (TI), Analog Devices, and Syntex Corporation (Roche). He was responsible for global organizations of 150 employees. Service: Mr. Owen consults with and advises Board members of both public and private companies on a variety of IT, technology, and other management issues. He currently serves as an Independent Board Member for ISSC Technology and an advisory board member for Tiempo Software Development. He serves as a national board member for Kids at Hope. Rob received his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and BA from Loretto Heights College, now part of Regis University. He has additional certifications and advanced study in Lean Six Sigma, Quality Management, Executive Coaching, and Leadership.
