Dr. Fantry joined the University of Arizona in July 2016. She was previously the medical director of the largest University of Maryland/Institute of Human Virology HIV clinic which provides HIV and hepatitis C care to over 1800 patients per year. She was also involved with HIV clinical research and education and continues to be active in these areas at the University of Arizona. Dr. Lori Ellen Fantry's research interests are HIV prevention, epidemiology, and clinical care. Her work has resulted in 27 peer-reviewed publications, multiple book chapters, and abstracts at major conferences. Dr. Fantry is currently involved in a study looking at laboratory testing in HIV infected patients, and is an investigator in the NIH sponsored study entitled “Evaluating the Use of Pitavastatin to Reduce the Risk of Cardiovascular Disease in HIV-Infected Adults REPRIEVE)”.
