Specialites: Podiatric Surgery Research Interests: Diabetic Foot Infection and Reconstruction• Reconstructive Podiatric Surgery• Amputation and Neuropathic Ulcer Prevention• Tissue alternatives and skin grafting in the diabetic foot• Musculoskeletal imaging for diabetic foot Dr. Pappalardo joined the University of Arizona Department of Surgery in 2013. She is also a member of the Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) team actively involved in research and teaching Podiatric Medicne and Surgery. She received her doctoral degree in podiatric medicine from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University.  She completed her Internship through at St. Vincent Hospital, University of Massachusetts Medical Center Worcester Massachusetts and completed her surgical training from the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center/Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago Illinois, during which she became a published author on Charcot Neuroarthopathy. She completed her surgical fellowship at the University of Arizona-Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance focusing her research and training on surgical and conservative treatment management in the diabetic foot and complicated limb salvage in the diabetic foot. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine
