Assistant Professor of Practice, Fashion Industry Science and Technology
Associates Degree in Applied Science, Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts from Hofstra University, and a Masters in Educational Leadershifrom Argosy University. After graduating from Fashion Institute of Technology I worked in the fashion industry as an assistant and freelance designer for several years in New York before moving to Tucson Arizona. My design experience in Tucson was as Vice President of clothing design for Chivalry Sports a national catalog designing renaissance clothing company, where I designed 13th to 15th Century period clothing. I began teaching fashion related classes at Tucson’s Pima Community College. In 2004 I was offered the Department Chair position at Tucson Design College TDC) where I developed the Fashion Design department curriculum. TDC was later, bought by The Art Institute, where I became Academic Director for Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing. All this has led me to the University of Arizona as an Assistant Professor of Practice for the Norton School.
