Professor of Practice, Teaching/Learning and Sociocultural Studies
Crystal Soltero is a Professor of Practice and Director of the Literacy, Learning, and LeadershiMajor LLL) and Adolescents, Community, and Education Minor ACE) in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Sociocultural Studies. A former secondary history teacher and James Madison Fellow, Dr. Soltero completed her doctoral studies in Teaching and Teacher Education with an emphasis in History at the University of Arizona in 2007. Soltero teaches in the COE elementary program and leads a large internshiprogram for students in both LLL and ACE. Soltero is a member of the Holocaust Education Taskforce for Holocaust History Center in Tucson and is a member of the National Council for the Social Studies.
