Associate Clinical Professor, Emergency Medicine - (Clinical Series Track)
Dr. Christopher Williams is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Arizona. He completed medical school in 2008 from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He went on to complete emergency medicine residency at the University of Arizona in 2011. He has since worked in both community and academic emergency medicine in Texas and Arizona. Dr. Williams' main area of academic interest is wilderness medicine, in which he has earned his fellowship. He has developed various curricula in wilderness medicine and has been invited to teach courses in Southern Oregon, the Grand Canyon, and Chamonix, France. Additionally, he runs the U of A College of Medicine’s wilderness medicine elective as well as the undergraduate EMS elective in wilderness medicine. Dr Williams provides medical direction for Mt Graham International Observatory and Organ Pipe National Monument. He is also a frequent educator for the Southern Arizona Rescue Association. Dr. Williams has professional interests in resident and medical student education and serves as core faculty for the Tucson Campus residency program. Dr Williams is the proud father of four children, who he shamelessly encourages to join him backpacking and hiking. He speaks fluent Spanish and loves to travel the world with his intrepid wife.
