Caitlyn (she/they) focuses on integrating environmental justice, natural hazard resilience, science policy, and communication. She works with community, industry, and government leaders to develobest-fit, technical policy, and public health solutions to best address a community’s challenges and values. Her other interests look at soil and water remediation, sustainability, and food security. Caitlyn advises decision-makers to develoequitable legislation and founded the Arizona Science Policy Network. She earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at Arizona State University and her B.S. and M.S. at the University of Arizona. She will be leading the Future Earth Resilience minor program at the W.A. Franke Honors College and will be partnering with the Biosystems Engineering Department and Biosphere II. For fun, Caitlyn spends her time rock climbing and trail running.
