Olivia Hung, MD, PhD, FACC, received her AB in Chemistry from Harvard University, her PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and her MD from Emory University School of Medicine. She completed her postgraduate training at the Emory University School of Medicine in the ABIM Research Pathway with combined training in the J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency and Academic Clinical Investigator Pathway in Cardiovascular Diseases. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. Since starting at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Tucson she has taken an active role in medical education. In addition to teaching and mentoring medical students and house staff, she has held positions as the Director of Cardiology Education at Banner University Medical Center - South Campus, Core Faculty for both the Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship, and the College of Medicine Clinical Reasoning Course Facilitator. She is currently the Program Director for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of Arizona, Tucson, and the Associate Block Director for the University of Arizona College of Medicine Clinical Reasoning Course.
